Hayden Panettiere Horror Movie Sleepwalker Gets Intense Trailer

Brainstorm Media has shared the official trailer for Sleepwalker, the upcoming supernatural horror movie led by Scream vet Hayden Panettiere. It is scheduled to make its debut on January 9, 2026, in select theaters and on digital platforms.

“The film follows Sarah, a grieving mother who is haunted by the tragic loss of her daughter in a car accident that left her abusive husband in a coma. As she battles a surreal descent into darkness, her sleepwalking episodes intensify. Plagued by haunting visions of her husband inside their home, she grapples with the blurred lines between reality and nightmare,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Sleepwalker trailer?

The video introduces Panettiere as a grieving mother experiencing intense nightmarish visions while she’s sleepwalking. The trailer highlights some of the movie’s terrifying sequences, as Panettiere’s character is haunted by the ghost of her daughter, who died in a car accident. The ensemble cast also includes Justin Chatwin (War of the Worlds), Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation), Mischa Barton (The Sixth Sense), Lori Tan Chinn (Orange Is the New Black), Laird Lacoste, and Corinne Sweeney.

Sleepwalker is written and directed by Brandon Auman. The movie is produced by Chad A. Verdi, Jennifer Davisson, Phillip Watson, Michelle Verdi, Chad Verdi Jr., and Paul Luba. The creative team consists of cinematographer Marcus Friedlander, production designer Sean Hoschek, costume designer Olivia Leigh, and composer Sebastian Evans.
