Avengers: Doomsday Update Reveals Captain America’s Surprising Team
Avengers: Doomsday is going to have a lot of heroes appearing in it, with several “teams” of people coming together. One of those leaders, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, may have had his team leaked.
Who is on Captain America’s team in Avengers: Doomsday?
At a recent Disney event in Italy, Avengers: Doomsday was briefly talked about as one of the upcoming projects for the company. In it, various actors were shown off as part of different groups.
These include teams like The Fantastic Four, the original X-Men, and more. However, one specific slide showed Sam Wilson’s Captain America alongside Thor, Ant-Man, Shang-Chi, and in a surprising twist, Loki.
It’s unclear exactly how Tom Hiddleston’s Loki would end up in Doomsday, as the last we saw him, he was seated at the Citadel at the End of Time, essentially powering the multiverse for the entirety of the MCU. It seems like Doomsday’s plot will likely explain how Loki is able to return to action, though.
So far, several major stars from the MCU have been confirmed to be in the movie, including Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright’s Shuri/Black Panther, and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man.
More names for the upcoming movie include Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta’s Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer’s Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman’s Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour’s Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Winston Duke‘s M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen‘s Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki.
Several X-Men characters are also coming back for the upcoming movie, including Patrick Stewart‘s Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen‘s Magneto, Alan Cumming‘s Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn‘s Mystique, James Marsden‘s Cyclops, and Channing Tatum‘s Gambit.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on December 18, 2026.
