Nicholas Galitzine on what to expect from Masters of the Universe movie

Nicholas Galitzine has shared new details about the upcoming Masters of the Universe film, offering a glimpse into what audiences can expect from the live-action reboot.

During a recent interview with Screen Rant, the actor explained that director Travis Knight and the creative team are pursuing a more contemporary interpretation of the iconic hero. Without giving away plot specifics, Galitzine said, “I think there is a modernity to him that is really interesting. It feels like who he is as a person is a handshake between what traditional masculinity and femininity are.”

The actor also highlighted why he connected with the project from the beginning. He noted that the screenplay struck him as very different from “movies that kind of sit in its genre or bracket.” He added, “There was something incredibly human about the story, and so humorous, which are two things that I really look for as an actor.”

Galitzine expressed enthusiasm for audiences to finally meet this version of Adam. “But I really am extremely excited for people to see this movie and to meet Adam,” he shared. The actor also pointed to the film’s scale, noting that the action sequences and set pieces are “incredible.” However, he reiterated that “there’s a really human story in there as well.” He added, “I think if I’m going to do something with that level of spectacle, I have to have that as well.”

Directed by Knight, the new Masters of the Universe film features a high-profile ensemble that includes Jared Leto, Idris Elba, Morena Baccarin, Kristen Wiig, Alison Brie, and Camila Mendes, among others.
