2 Beloved Jack Black Action Movie Sequels Coming to Netflix    

Two popular sequels from Jack Black’s action-comedy franchise, Kung Fu Panda 2 and 3, will soon arrive on Netflix. The streamer has reportedly confirmed that second and third installment are scheduled to arrive on the platform in December 2025.

Kung Fu Panda 2 and 3 get Netflix streaming release date

Two major installments in DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda franchise are scheduled to arrive on Netflix on December 1, 2025, according to What’s on Netflix. The addition brings Kung Fu Panda 2 and Kung Fu Panda 3 to the platform, giving subscribers access to two of the series’ most acclaimed installments.

Released in 2011, Kung Fu Panda 2 is directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and follows Po as he defends the Valley of Peace alongside the Furious Five. The sequel introduces a new threat led by Lord Shen, voiced by Gary Oldman. As Po confronts this powerful enemy, he begins to uncover truths about his past.

The voice cast also features Jack Black as Po and Angelina Jolie as Master Tigress. Other includes Michelle Yeoh as the Soothsayer and Seth Rogen as Master Mantis. The film currently holds an 82 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 185 reviews. According to Box Office Mojo, Kung Fu Panda 2 earned over $665 million worldwide, including $165.2 million from domestic audiences.

Kung Fu Panda 3 premiered in 2016 and is also directed by Nelson. The story centers on Po’s reunion with his biological father and his efforts to train a group of pandas in preparation for a confrontation with Kai, a supernatural villain voiced by J. K. Simmons.

The voice-cast of the third installment includes Black, Jolie, Bryan Cranston as Li Shan and James Hong as Mr. Ping. It holds an 87 percent Rotten Tomatoes score based on 179 reviews.
Kung Fu Panda 3 approximately collected $521 million globally, with $143.5 million coming from domestic ticket sales.
