Beast Man confirmed to appear in live-action Masters of the Universe movie
A new report has clarified speculation surrounding one of the Masters of the Universe’s villains. According to HeMania.com, the actor who appeared in London last summer wearing an extensive motion-capture suit was portraying Beast Man. The confirmation ends months of speculation that began after footage circulated online showing the mo-cap actor pursuing Nicholas Galitzine’s Prince Adam and Camila Mendes’ Teela during location filming.
The confirmation also clarifies earlier assumptions about the film’s creature roles. When the supporting cast was announced, many believed Hafthor Bjornsson’s Goat Man would serve as the primary villain. However, the latest reports indicate that Beast Man is being depicted on a larger, more physically imposing scale. The footage suggested a significantly expanded creature design.
Additional cast members for the movie include Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, and James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley as King Randor and Queen Marlena. Alison Brie will portray Evil-Lyn, while Sam C. Wilson, Kojo Attah, and Jon Xue Zhang will appear as Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops, and Ram-Man, respectively.
The story of the upcoming film will reportedly follow a young Prince Adam who crash-lands on Earth and is separated from his Power Sword. After recovering the sword nearly two decades later, he is transported back to Eternia, where he faces the threat of Skeletor while attempting to understand the history that he no longer remembers.
The first teaser for the movie is expected to be released soon. Masters of the Universe is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 5, 2026.
