A new round of online discussion has focused on a claim from @MyTimeToShineHello, who reported, “If I understand it correctly, Victor von Doom’s wife and son were killed in an accident, and Victor himself was injured and his body damaged. He traced the cause of the accident to Steve going back in time, and now he’s after him to avenge his family.”
The account also stated, “I don’t like how Avengers Doomsday is just RDJ vs Chris Evans again. Civil War 2.”
Additional rumor coverage from Cosmic Circus outlined related context. IIn a Q and A, Alex Perez stated that Kang’s motivations from Quantumania “won’t be completely ignored” and confirmed they will “live on through Doctor Doom.” He described Doom as a character who becomes “pissed about people messing with timelines and causing incursions.” Perez also noted that characters from Wonder Man and VisionQuest will appear in either Avengers Doomsday or Secret Wars.
