Having worked in some of the most recognizable pop culture titles of the modern day, Dave Bautista wants yet another one of his works to branch out into a franchise. In a recent interview, the wrestler-turned-actor expressed his desire to make Stuber 2, noting that he wants nothing more than to jump onto the set of a sequel for the 2019 buddy cop action comedy.

Dave Bautista says he’s ‘going to pray every night’ for Stuber 2

The Guardians of the Galaxy star recently revealed that he has a great appreciation for the Michael Dowse-helmed R-rated comedy flick. Moreover, he confirmed that he is already on board to reprise his role for a Stuber sequel, provided that the project gets greenlit.

“I’ve said this, and I will go to my grave saying this. Stuber was it’s the most underrated film that I’ve ever done,” Dave Bautista stated while speaking with MovieWeb.

The 56-year-old actor added, “I’m so proud of this film, I’m so proud of what Mike Dowse did with this film. I’m so proud of my work with Kumail Nanjiani. I’m going to pray every night and every day that this film gets a sequel because I just want to step back on set with Mike and Kamail.”

The 2019 buddy cop adventure film follows Stu Prasad, an amiable Uber driver. His life takes a wild turn when he picks up a detective who is in hot pursuit of a cold-blooded killer.
