Michelle Pfeiffer Leads Star-Filled Christmas Movie in Oh. What. Fun. Trailer

Amazon MGM Studios has shared the official trailer for Oh. What. Fun., its newest Christmas family comedy, starring Academy Award nominee Michelle Pfeiffer. The movie will be available for streaming starting on December 3, exclusively on Prime Video.

“Claire Clauster is the glue that holds her chaotic, lovable family together every holiday season. From perfectly frosted cookies to meticulously wrapped gifts, no one decks the halls quite like Claire. But this year, after planning a special outing for her family, they made a crucial mistake by leaving her home alone,” reads the official synopsis. “Fed up and feeling underappreciated, she sets off on an impromptu adventure of her own. As her family scrambles to find her, Claire discovers the unexpected magic of a Christmas gone off-script.”

What happens in the Oh. What. Fun. trailer?

The video introduces Pfeiffer as an underappreciated mother who decides to embark on her very own holiday adventure after feeling neglected by her family. The trailer teases what to expect from her spontaneous adventure, while her family chaotically tries to find her. It also offers a closer look at its star-studded cast, including Felicity Jones, Chloë Grace Moretz, Denis Leary, Dominic Sessa, Danielle Brooks, Devery Jacobs, Havana Rose Liu, Maude Apatow, Jason Schwartzman, Eva Longoria, and Joan Chen.

Oh. What. Fun is directed by Michael Showalter (The Big Sick), who co-wrote the screenplay with Chandler Baker. The movie provides a fresh twist on the holiday family comedies that puts the usually-unsung hero (mom) at the center of the story. It is produced by Jane Rosenthal, Berry Welsh, Showalter, Jordana Mollick, and Kate Churchill. It will also feature a brand new song from Grammy winner Gwen Stefani, titled “Shake the Snow Globe.”
