Blake Lively Hits Snag With 1 It Ends With Us Lawsuit
While Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds has been dismissed, Lively just hit a roadblock in her suit against a social media guru.
What’s the latest update on Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us lawsuit?
In a recent court filing (via Variety), Judge Lewis Liman dismissed Lively’s suit against Jed Wallace, whom Lively accused of helping to run a smear campaign against the actress during the release of It Ends With Us. According to Liman’s ruling, there was not enough of a connection between Wallace and New York for him to be sued in the state.
It’s unclear whether or not Lively will look to renew the lawsuit elsewhere. She currently still has a lawsuit ongoing against Baldoni, publicist Melissa Nathan, producer Jamey Heath, and others. A trial for that lawsuit is set to take place in March.
Lively’s lawsuit that included Wallace alleged that Baldoni had hired Wallace via his team to weaponize a “digital army” against her. The suit had already been previously dismissed but Liman allowed Lively to submit additional information that might tie Wallace to New York to make the suit possible. However, it seems like nothing came from that.
“The Court ruled that Ms. Lively’s claims can and should be brought in a different court,” a spokesperson for Lively said in a statement. “Ms. Lively is evaluating her many options for doing so, and looks forward to trial on all of her claims against Baldoni, Heath, Nathan and the rest of the Wayfarer defendants in March in New York.”
