Road House 2 Cast Adds Conor McGregor’s Rival, Iko Uwais, & More

The currently in-development Road House 2 movie has added six people to its cast, all of whom are professional fighters, and one of whom is rivals with star Conor McGregor.

Who has joined the Road House 2 cast?

According to a new report from Deadline, six new fighters have joined the cast, with Rico Verhoeven, Michael Chandler, Michael “Venom” Page, Dustin Poirier, Stephen Thompson, and Tyron Woodley all joining the cast of the upcoming movie. Jay Hieron, who played UFC fighter Jax “Jetway” Harris, will also reprise his role in the upcoming movie.

Alongside the fighters, three new cast members have been added to the cast of the movie as well. Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor (Violent Night 2), Iko Uwais (The Raid), and Hidetoshi Nishijima (Drive My Car) have all been added to the cast. Their roles in the film are unknown as of now, however.

The news is significant for a few reasons, namely due to Chandler’s past with McGregor, who won’t be returning for the upcoming movie. Chandler has a history with the star, having nearly fought him before their bout was canceled, and the two have coached against one another in The Ultimate Fighter. Although the pair won’t clash in the ring, it’ll be yet another chapter in the pair crossing over one another in media.

Little is known about Road House 2 as of now. Jake Gyllenhaal, who played Dalton in the 2024 film, is set to return in the same role. Guy Ritchie was originally reported to be directing the sequel, but left the film in July. Ilya Naishuller then joined the project earlier this year to direct the movie.

The first film, released in 2024, was directed by Doug Liman. The sequel will reportedly be written by Bad Boys: Ride or Die’s Will Beall. Most of the film, including its cast and plot, remains under wraps. However, it has been reported that Dave Bautista recently joined the project.

The first movie also starred UFC star Conor McGregor, The Suicide Squad breakout Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen (Game Night), Gbemisola Ikumelo (The Last Tree), Lukas Gage (The White Lotus), Hannah Love Lanier (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Travis Van Winkle (Accepted), B.K. Cannon (Switched at Birth), Arturo Castro (Broad City), Dominique Columbus (Ray Donovan), Beau Knapp (Southpaw), and Bob Menery.
