Ariana Greenblatt and Justice Smith pitch their names to play DC heroes

Ariana Greenblatt and Justice Smith recently revealed which DC heroes they would be interested in portraying, during a promotional interview on jjust the nobodys podcast for their upcoming film Now You See Me 3. The lighthearted exchange quickly caught fans’ attention.

When asked which characters they would want to play, Greenblatt expressed her admiration for Catwoman. She said, “I would love to play Catwoman,” earning cheers from the others. The actress added that she would also love to play teenage version of Gamora, saying, “She grows up.”

Meanwhile, Smith admitted that he doesn’t know much about Marvel. However, he had once considered the possibility of playing Gambit from X-Men. The actor said, “At one point I wanted to be Gambit because I always played as him as like the X-Men games.” He added, “But then he has like a thick New Orleans accent and like I didn’t know that and I don’t want to go.”

During the discussion, Smith also reflected on the age of superhero casting, noting that he might be “too old” to play Miles Morales. He said, “I think I am too old now. I am 30 years old. Miles Morales is like 15. Then again, like Andrew Garfield was like 30 when he did Spider-Man.” The interviewer pointed out Tom Holland and ongoing Spider-Man, saying “He’s in his 30s.”

This drew surprise reaction from Smith. He said, “I thought he was done. They are doing another Spider Man?”

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is slated for release on November 14, 2025.
