Osgood Perkins’ New Horror Movie The Young People Gets Star-Filled Cast

Osgood Perkins’ horror movie The Young People has added seven new cast members.

Perkins made his feature film directorial debut in 2015 with The Blackout’s Daughter. He followed that up with I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House in 2016 before he went on to make 2020’s Gretel & Hansel, 2024’s Longlegs, and 2025’s The Monkey. In addition to The Young People, he’s also got another horror movie, titled Keeper, coming out next month.

While plot details for The Young People remain under wraps at this time, it was previously announced that the movie will star Lola Tung and Nico Parker. It is being released by Neon in 2026.

Who has joined the cast of The Young People?

The cast of The Young People also now includes Brendan Hines, Cush Jumbo, Heather Graham, Johnny Knoxville, Lexi Minetree, Lily Collias, and Tatiana Maslany.

Maslany starred in The Monkey and also has a role in Keeper, though she’s perhaps best known for playing Jennifer Walters in Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Graham played Annie Blackburn in 1992’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me and Brandy/Rollergirl in 1997’s Boogie Nights, while she recently starred in a Western with Nicolas Cage titled Gunslingers.

Best known for his work on the Jackass franchise, Knoxville will also soon be seen in Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Sex, which recently wrapped filming. Hines has starred in television shows such as Lie to Me, The Tick, and Locke & Key, while Jumbo had a major role in The Good Wife and its spin-off show, The Good Fight.

Minetree has been cast as Elle Woods in the upcoming Legally Blonde prequel show that premieres in 2026. Lastly, Collias has starred in 2022’s Palm Trees and Power Lines, 2024’s Good One, and 2025’s Roofman.

Perkins produces The Young People alongside Chris Ferguson for Phobos and and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones for Range.
