Freakier Friday Disney+ Release Date Set for Lindsay Lohan Movie

Disney+ has announced the official release date for the streaming debut of Freakier Friday, the body-swap comedy starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

When is the Freakier Friday Disney+ release date?

Freakier Friday streams on November 12, 2025, on Disney+.

Freakier Friday is the sequel to 2003’s Freaky Friday, which starred Lohan as Anna Coleman and Curtis as Anna’s mother, Tess Coleman.

22 years later, Lohan and Curtis reprise their roles in Freakier Friday, the sequel with a multigenerational twist. “The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis,” Disney’s official synopsis reads. “Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.”

Freakier Friday has new cast additions, such as Julia Butters as Harper Coleman, Anna’s daughter; Sophia Hammons as Lily Reyes, Anna’s soon-to-be stepdaughter; Manny Jacinto as Eric Reyes, Anna’s fiancé and Lily’s father; and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Ella, a singer working with Anna.

Besides Lohan and Curtis, several cast members from Freaky Friday returned for the 2025 sequel, including Mark Harmon as Ryan Volvo, Christina Vidal Mitchell as Maddie, Haley Hudson as Peg, Chad Michael Murray as Jake Austin, Lucille Soong as Grandma Chiang, Stephen Tobolowsky as Mr. Elton Bates, and Rosalind Chao as Mama P.

Nisha Ganatra directed Freakier Friday from a screenplay by Jordan Weiss. Producers include Curtis, Kristin Burr, and Andrew Gunn, with Lohan, Nathan Kelly, and Ann Marie Sanderlin serving as executive producers.

Released in August, Freakier Friday grossed $153 million worldwide on an estimated budget of $45 million. The comedy currently has a 74% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 224 reviews. ComingSoon’s Jonathan Sim gave Freakier Friday a 7 out of 10, calling the film “pure joy from start to finish.”
