The video features a popular surfer who gets a heroism award for saving a young woman from drowning. However, as it turns out, the surfer isn’t the brave and kind man people know him to be. He’s actually a dangerous man who previously assaulted a woman. With the help of her co-worker, the woman confronts her traumatic past by trying to expose the surfer’s real identity to the public and to his fiancée.
Strangers in a Car Park is written and directed by Stuart McBratney, who is also serving as a producer with Nadia Kamis. The movie stars Jacki Mison as Renee, Brenton Prince as Damo, Lawrence Ola as Aleki, and Arnijka Larcombe-Weate as Lana. It is being described as a “tense, unflinching look at truth, trauma, and power.”
