Gwyneth Paltrow Gives Exciting MCU Return Update
Besides Robert Downey Jr.’s long-awaited appearance as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, it looks like another Iron Man star is slated to make a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since its debut in 2008, the PG-13 movie has maintained its Certified Fresh rating of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.
What did Gwyneth Paltrow say about a possible MCU return?
In a recent appearance at a Family Weekend event at Brown University, Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow was able to tease her future projects. Per Boston.com, she shared that she actually may return as Pepper Potts soon, after revealing that she “might be in another Marvel movie.” This revelation comes after she was recently spotted dining out with Downey Jr. in Chicago.
In a previous interview, when asked about her MCU return, Paltrow admitted that she doesn’t actually know since nothing has been finalized yet. “The truth is, I don’t totally know,” she said. “I think I might, but I’m not sure. Nothing is confirmed. That is the truth. That’s the inside scoop.” Recent rumors suggest that she might be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, which is currently in production. It is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026.
The acclaimed star has portrayed Pepper Potts since 2008’s Iron Man movie, in which she was initially introduced as the loyal assistant of Tony Stark/Iron Man. She was last seen at the end of Avengers: Endgame, where she assured a dying Tony that he could now rest because she and their child, Morgan, are going to be fine.
