The Social Network 2 Adds MCU Actress To Star-Studded Cast
The Social Network 2 cast continues to grow, with a new star joining the project that’s growing into one of the more star-studded movies in recent memory.
Who has joined the cast of The Social Network 2?
According to a new report from Deadline, Wunmi Mosaku, who played Hunter B-15 in Marvel Studios’ Loki and Deadpool & Wolverine, and who most recently starred in 2025’s Sinners, is set to join the upcoming sequel.
There was no word yet on who Mosaku will play, but she’ll join an already star-studded cast that includes Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Jeremy Strong, and Bill Burr. Aaron Sorking is once again writing the sequel to the film, and will also be directing the project as well.
So far, little is known about the movie, aside from its name, The Social Reckoning. The movie is set to release on October 9, 2026. It’s unclear just how it’ll connect to the 2009 original film that starred Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield, but recent reports suggest the film will focus on Facebook’s growth into one of the biggest company’s on the planet, and how it was used to spread misinformation in the lead up to the insurrection on January 6, 2021.
“The story of the new feature will focus on how the company’s own reporting pointed to the negative effects the company’s social media was having on teens and kids, how it knew misinformation was proliferating and causing violence, and how it contributed to the violent insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021,” a description of the plot, per The Hollywood Reporter, reads.
