What happens in the final Predator: Badlands trailer?
The final Predator: Badlands trailer sees a young Predator embark on a dangerous hunt on a dangerous planet full of creatures who want to kill him. There, he meets a synth named Thia, played by Fanning, who accompanies him on his quest.
“Set in the future on a deadly remote planet, Badlands follows a young Predator outcast (played by newcomer Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) who finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Elle Fanning) as he embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary,” the official synopsis reads.
Trachtenberg previously directed the 2022 Predator movie, Prey, and the animated Predator: Killer of Killers anthology film. Before that, he helmed 10 Cloverfield Lane in 2016, while he’s also directed episodes of Black Mirror, The Boys, and The Lost Symbol. Trachtenberg serves as a producer on Predator: Badlands alongside John Davis, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, and Brent O’Connor.
While some fans of Predator were speculating that Badlands could secretly crossover with the Alien franchise, Trachtenberg recently told Empire Magazine people shouldn’t be getting their hopes up for that to happen.“There’s no Xenomorph in this movie. But to me, that makes it more exciting. We’re not involving [the Alien franchise] just to smush the action figures together. There are great, organic story reasons for Weyland-Yutani to be in this film.”
Predator: Badlands will be released in IMAX, Dolby Cinema, RealD (3D), Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX, and premium screens on November 7, 2025, from 20th Century Studios.
