
Fast & Furious Director Justin Lin’s New Movie Last Days Gets Trailer
Vertical has released the first Last Days trailer, previewing the upcoming biographical drama from Fast & Furious director Justin Lin, based on the true story of John Allen Chau. Last Days is set to come out on October 24, 2025.
“Based on a true story, Justin Lin’s Last Days follows 26-year-old John Allen Chau’s journey to fulfill his life’s mission,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “He embarks on a dangerous adventure across the globe to share his faith with the isolated tribe of North Sentinel Island, while a detective from the Andaman Islands races to stop him before he does harm to himself or the tribe.”

What happens in the Last Days trailer?
The trailer recounts the story of John Allen Chau, who traveled to North Sentinel Island in an attempt to evangelize the self-isolated Sentinelese people into Christianity. The movie also covers the Indian police who attempt to find Chau and stop him from making contact with the tribe.
In real life, Chau attempted contact with the Sentinelese people multiple times before being killed by the tribe in 2018.
Last Days is directed by Justin Lin, from a screenplay written by Ben Ripley. The film stars Sky Yang, Radhika Apte, Naveen Andrews, Ken Leung, Toby Wallace, and Ciara Bravo. Justin Lin, Clayton Townsend, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson, Salvador Gatdula, and Andrew Schneider serve as producers on the film.
