
Freakier Friday Digital, 4K, Blu-ray, & DVD Release Dates Set for Lindsay Lohan Movie
Disney has finally announced the Freakier Friday digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates for its latest fantasy comedy, which serves as a sequel to Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis‘ iconic 2003 movie. During its theatrical run, the movie earned a worldwide gross of over $152 million at the box office against a reported budget of around $42-45 million.
“Double the switch, double the fun! The all-new bundle pairs the 2003 fan-favorite Freaky Friday with Freakier Friday for a two-film flip fest,” reads the official synopsis. “First, Tess and Anna trade places in the comedy classic, then the next generation takes a turn when Anna’s daughter and soon-to-be stepdaughter get hilariously mixed up. Two movies, four swaps, endless laughs – it doesn’t get freakier than this.”
When is the Freakier Friday Digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates?
Freakier Friday will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on October 7, 2025. Afterward, the movie will then be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on November 11, 2025. Since its debut, the movie has received a Certified Fresh score of 74% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 222 reviews.

Freakier Friday was directed by Nisha Ganatra (Late Night) from a screenplay written by Jordan Weiss, based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel of the same name. Taking place years after the events of the original, the sequel also features returning cast members Mark Harmon as Ryan, Chad Michael Murray as Jake, Christina Vidal Mitchell as Maddie, Haley Hudson as Peg, Rosalind Chao as Pei-Pei, Lucille Soong as Pei-Pei’s mom, and Stephen Tobolowsky as Mr. Bates.
They are joined by new cast members Manny Jacinto, Sophia Hammons, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Julia Butters, Vanessa Bayer, Elaine Hendrix, June Diane Raphael, Chloe Fineman, and more. The film was produced by Curtis, Andrew Gunn, and Kristin Burr, with Lohan, Nathan Kelly, and Ann Marie Sanderlin serving as executive producers.
