Nicolas Cage Stars in Jesus Horror Movie The Carpenter’s Son Trailer

Magnolia Pictures has released a new The Carpenter’s Son trailer, previewing the upcoming biblical horror movie starring Nicolas Cage and FKA twigs. The Carpenter’s Son is set to release on November 14, 2025.

“Joseph, Mary and their teenage son Jesus have lived for years under threat, clinging to their faith and traditions,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “But a stopover in a small settlement unleashes growing chaos when a mysterious stranger tries to entice young Jesus to abandon his devout father’s rules. With every pull of temptation, the boy is lured into a forbidden world, as a terrified Joseph realizes that a demonic power is at work. Violent, unnatural events inexplicably follow Jesus, and he begins to experience nightmarish visions of the future. Finally, he learns the fearsome truth about his new playmate, as well as the child’s real name: Satan.”

What happens in The Carpenter’s Son trailer?

The trailer for the movie highlights the story of Joseph and Mary, along with their teenage son Jesus, who are living in hiding as Jesus begins to understand his miraculous powers. After meeting a mysterious woman, Jesus and his parents are quickly thrown into temptation and a chaotic battle of their own faith.

The Carpenter’s Son is written and directed by Lofty Nathan. Alongside Cage and twigs, the film also stars Noah Jupe as Jesus, and Isla Johnston. Cage produces The Carpenter’s Son for Saturn Films alongside Alex Hughes and Riccardo Maddalosso at Spacemaker and Julie Viez for Cinenovo. Executive producers include David Levine and Nick Shumaker for Anonymous Content, Noëmie Devide for Goodfellas, Eugene Kotlyarenko for Spacemaker, Jennifer Venditti, Nathan, and Theo Vieljeux.
