
Kidnapping Crime Movie Lying in Wait Gets Trailer, Release Date | Exclusive
ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive trailer for Lying in Wait, the upcoming crime thriller about two friends trying to search for their missing friend after she suddenly vanishes during their girls’ night out. The movie hails from actor-director Tomas Decurgez in his feature-length directorial debut.
“What begins as a carefree girls’ night for three old friends takes a terrifying turn when Skyler vanishes. Her friends Rachel and Daniela launch a frantic search, but as the clues unfold, it becomes clear this is no ordinary kidnapping. Everyone is hiding something and the truth is far more dangerous than they imagined,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “It features a powerful, female-led cast and a suspense-filled story that explores friendship, addiction, and the secrets we keep from the people closest to us. Tense, emotional, and full of unexpected twists, the film promises to keep viewers on edge from start to finish.

When is the release date for Lying in Wait?
Lying in Wait will be available to rent or own on digital platforms in the U.S. and Canada, starting on October 7. The ensemble cast includes Savanah Joeckel as Rachel, Tomás Carullo Lizzio as Francisco, Tony Garza as Pedro, Laura Casale as Daniela, Francisco Andrade as Raul, Marlene Pedersen Chauviere as Skyler, Ailen Dettano as Sofia, Paco Gorriz as Marco, Cristian Jensen as Reynaldo, Pablo Lapa as Detective Fuentes, Juani Manzo as Nicolas, and more.
The movie is directed and executive produced by Decurgez from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joeckel. It is produced by Alejandra Mikulan. The creative team consists of cinematographer Agustin Nuñez, editor Mauro Caporossi, and composer Emmanuel Bortolin, along with production designers Decurgez and Alejandra Mikulan.
