ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive poster and photos for Evil Nun, the upcoming religious horror thriller from filmmaker Jose Prendes. The movie is scheduled to premiere on September 30, 2025.

“When a Catholic youth ministry is invited to spend the night in a vacant Mexican church, they’re suddenly trapped by the ghostly apparition of a vengeful nun. Now their only hope is to break the curse before she claims them all, one deadly sin at a time,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

The poster and photos offer the audience a closer look at the main cast led by Noel G. (The Fast and the Furious) as Father Hector, April Clark (Snack Shack) as Maria, and Neeley Dayan (Alien: Rubicon) as Varla. Additional cast members also include Evan James Henderson (Memoirs of a Fighter) as Zack, Violet Bennett (The Haunted Forest) as Lorna, Aileen Kyoko (Triple Threat) as Yuki, Sebastian Hernandez (Hart Strings) as Javi, Teryn Macallan (Heretics) as Roger, and Siena Solinda (The Ritual) as Sister Dolores.

Evil Nun is written and directed by Jose Prendes. The filmmaker has worked on multiple independent horror movies, such as 2012’s The Haunting of Whaley House, 2015’s Blood Brothers, 2022’s Headless Horseman, 2023’s The Exorcists, 2024’s Monster Mash, and 2024’s Heretics. Before the upcoming movie, Prendes also directed the recently released mystery horror thriller Morgan: Killer Doll.

The movie is produced by David Michael Latt and Paul Bales, with David Rimawi serving as its executive producer. The creative team includes production designer Julie Nyznik, costume designer Jessie Jurdank-Parascandolo, sound designer Martin Richard Chappell, and casting director Tessa Johnson. It is a production by The Asylum.
