DCU Batman Villains Teased in New Clayface Photos Including Penguin

More and more Clayface set photos are beginning to make their way online, with a new batch showing potential teases to the DC Universe’s version of Joker and Penguin. The upcoming DC Studios body horror movie is set to arrive next year as part of the blossoming DCU.

What is shown in the new Clayface set photos?

The new photos come courtesy of various users on X and show more details about the world Clayface will inhabit. Most notably, posters for what look to be some sort of circus pop up, that tease a “Penguin man” appearing.

Other images show off various graffiti littered on a wall, the most interesting of which reads “Jokers rule.” While this might simply be a one-off piece of art, the inclusion of both characters is interesting, as neither character have been mentioned in the DCU yet. However, this is now the third time Joker has been potentially teased in Clayface, with various other Easter eggs having already been spotted.

The Clayface movie is being directed by James Watkins, who is known for his work on Speak No Evil. The screenplay was written by Mike Flanagan. Based on the character created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane for DC Comics, the titular DC character is best known as a fan-favorite Batman villain who has shapeshifting abilities. Described as a body horror thriller, the adaptation will reportedly feature “a Hollywood horror tale centering on a B-movie actor who injects himself with a substance to keep himself relevant.”

The movie will debut in theaters on September 11, 2026.
