Terrifying Alien Video Game Is 80% Off
Have you ever wanted to be hunted down by something quick, deadly, and roughly eight feet tall? Well, the latest PS Store sales promotion, which is celebrating the upcoming Gamescom event, has you covered with a deal on this PS4 horror game.
How to get Alien: Isolation for cheap
Developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega, Alien: Isolation is currently just $5.99 on the PS Store. That means the horror game is 80% off its typical $29.99 asking price. PS4 and PS5 players who want to take advantage of this offer will have to act fast. The offer ends on August 28 at 2:59 a.m. ET.
“Fifteen years after the events of Alien, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother’s disappearance,” reads the game’s description. “As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien. Underpowered and under-prepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.”
When Alien: Isolation was originally released back in 2014, it was met with favorable reviews. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average review score of 79 across 50 critic reviews. In our review, we gave it an 8 out of 10.
“If you can look past the technical hiccups, this is a challenging and entertaining horror game, irrespective of any franchise tie-in,” reads our review. “Alien: Isolation reminds us what it means to be playing a survival horror game, with a heavy emphasis on survival.”
Alien: Isolation may be a great game to play for anyone watching the new Hulu series, Alien: Earth. The first two episodes recently premiered on the streamer, with new episodes coming every Tuesday night, at 8 p.m. ET.
