Fantastic Four Concept Art Shows Different Look for Pedro Pascal’s MCU Character

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is out in theaters now, and new concept art for the film shows how different Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards may have looked.

What else does The Fantastic Four: First Steps concept art show off?

Over on Instagram, two separate artists, Ryan Meinerding and George Hull, showed off different concept art for their work on The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Meinerding showed off his conceptual art for Marvel’s first family’s “tech suits” with the group posing for a photo and Pascal’s Reed Richards sporting a rugged beard.

Hull’s art, on the other hand, showed off some early concepts for what the group’s “Fantasticar” would end up looking like. Hull explained that Marvel Studios was looking for specific visual cues from the car, including things like a bubble canopy, chrome trim, and more.

The cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps is led by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The film also includes Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. Additionally, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been cast in undisclosed roles.

“Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet,” the official synopsis for the movie reads.

Kevin Feige serves as a producer on the project, while executive producers include Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis. Mitch Bell is a co-producer, while the music comes from Michael Giacchino.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is out in theaters now.
