007 Report Reveals Surprising Choice for Next James Bond Girl

A new report about the upcoming James Bond movie seems to suggest that Jeff Bezos wants someone close to him to get a big role in Denis Villeneuve’s movie.

What is the latest 007 movie report?

According to a new report from OK Magazine, Bezos wants to make his wife, Lauren Sánchez, a star. Insiders close to the magazine note that Bezos is looking to “launch” his wife into the world of acting, and wants her to have a “prominent” role in the next James Bond movie.

The report goes on to say that Bezos is “fixed” on his wife being in the movie. “He’s obsessed,” a Hollywood insider told OK. “This isn’t just fantasy casting — Jeff wants her on screen, period.”

While the news might be treated as a rumor for anyone else, Jeff Bezos likely does have the power to make it happen should he choose. Bezos acquired MGM in 2022, and just recently, the James Bond franchise as a whole came in to the control of Amazon MGM, after longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson stepped back from the franchise.

Only time will tell whether or not Sanchez gets a role in the film, or what exactly it would be should she get a part. So far, no official casting information is available for the Bond reboot, although several rumors around who will play Bond have been floating for years now.

Recently, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight was tapped to write the new James Bond movie. He’ll join Villeneuve as yet another high-profile name to join the new film.
