
Superman’s Krypto Gets 4 Short Films, Watch First Right Now
DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation have released the first installment of Krypto Saves the Day!, the 4-part series of animated shorts. Part 1 will feature the fan-favorite DCU character chasing a pigeon, while trying to save a school bus.
The animated shorts are inspired by James Gunn‘s Superman movie, which will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on August 15, followed by its 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on September 23. Krypto Saves the Day! Part 1 – School Bus Scuffle will also be one of the special features on Superman’s upcoming digital and physical releases.

What do we know about the Krypto Saves the Day shorts?
“Look Pup! Fresh off his star-making performance in Superman, Krypto returns in a series of original comedic animated shorts,” reads the synopsis. “Krypto Saves the Day! brings the caped canine’s brand of heroic hijinks to everyday life in Metropolis. From school bus rescues to Spring Break cruise ship saves — and even Halloween candy crises — no adventure is too small as Krypto delivers super-powered action, laughs, and plenty of mischief for fans of all ages.”
Krypto Saves the Day! is a production by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios. Following Part 1 – School Bus Scuffle, the next three episodes (Halloween Havoc, Package Pandemonium, Coastal Catastrophe) will then debut individually through 2026.
Superman was written and directed by Gunn, based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The movie stars David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. It currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes.
