20.0 Megaquake is a brand-new disaster movie from The Asylum, the independent production and distribution company that is best known for making low-budget, direct-to-video mockbuster movies. The film will be released later this week.

What happens in the 20.0 Megaquake trailer?
The 20.0 Megaquake follows a team of emergency service and disaster experts as they try to save California from a series of deadly earthquakes. Doing so is easier said than done, however, as these earthquakes threaten to tear the state away from the United States and entirely submerge it in the ocean.
The official synopsis for the movie reads, “As a megaquake threatens San Francisco, a series of foreshocks wreaks havoc across the city. Now, an elite team of emergency service and disaster experts converge on the anticipated epicenter, working tirelessly to save as many lives as possible and stop the Big One before it strikes.”
Baldwin, who is the second-youngest of the four Baldwin brothers, also recently starred in The Asylum’s Super Volcano, another disaster movie that was released last month. His filmography also includes 1990’s Flatliners, 1991’s Backdraft, 1999’s Virus, 2005’s The Squid and the Whale, and 2008’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, among other titles.
In addition to Baldwin, the cast of 20.0 Megaquake includes McKenzie Westmore, Tyler Christopher, and Tori Griffith. The movie is directed by Jared Cohn, while the screenplay comes from Marc Gottlieb.
20.0 Megaquake has an August 15, 2025, release date. It will play in select United States theaters, including Glendale, California’s Laemmle Glendale; Roswell, Georgia’s Aurora Cineplex; Miami Beach, Florida’s O Cinema South Beach; Brunswick, Ohio’s Hickory Ridge Cinemas; and Minneapolis, Minnesota’s Trylon Cinema.
