Star Wars’ Pedro Pascal Teams With Andor Creator on New Movie
Golden Globe nominee Pedro Pascal has entered the final negotiations to star in the upcoming Behemoth! movie for Searchlight Pictures. This comes after Pascal recently made his long-awaited debut into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which currently holds a Tomatometer rating of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 372 reviews.
Who’s involved in the new Pedro Pascal movie?
Searchlight Pictures’ Behemoth! movie will be written and directed by Tony Gilroy, who recently worked on the second and final season of Star Wars: Andor as its showrunner, creator, and head writer. The Disney+ series served as a prequel to his 2016 movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which he co-wrote with Chris Weitz.
Further details about the project’s plot and characters are still under wraps, but Gilroy previously teased that the story will center around a cellist. In addition, Gilroy is also set as a producer alongside Sanne Wohlenberg. Production is expected to begin this fall in Los Angeles. At the moment, the movie has no official release date yet.

He is also currently nominated for Lead Actor at the upcoming Emmy Awards for his performance in The Last of Us Season 2. In 2026, he will be reprising his fan-favorite role as Din Djarin in the highly anticipated The Mandalorian and Grogu movie. He is also set to return as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in Avengers: Doomsday, which will also debut in 2026.
