Daniel Dae Kim reveals if he has been cast as Mister Negative in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Daniel Dae Kim recently had a chat with ScreenRant when he was asked whether he is aware of getting fan-cast as Mister Negative for Spider-Man 4.
Kim, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming series Butterfly, revealed that he feels happy being considered for the role. He stated, “I heard something about that over the past six or seven months, and I saw that. I’ve seen that people want other Asian actors to play him as well, so I’m happy to be included in that conversation, but I haven’t heard anything.”
He further conveyed that the fanarts of him as the rumored Spider-Man: Brand New Day villain are “interesting.” Kim added, “I’m always up for an interesting role and an interesting project.”
Mister Negative, also known as Martin Li, is rumored to be part of Spider-Man 4 following the release of set videos. The movie is currently being filmed in Glasgow. As covered by SuperHeroHype before, multiple set photos and clips include military-style tanks that have a red devil logo on them. This is the symbol of a criminal gang named Inner Demons, which is operated by Martin Li.
This hint has led fans to believe that a showdown between Mister Negative and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man might be approaching in the movie, though nothing is confirmed by Marvel or Sony Pictures. Mister Negative made his debut in the comics in 2007 and then appeared as the main villain in the Spider-Man game.
