Star Wars: Watch Harrison Ford’s Hilarious Response to Holiday Special

Harrison Ford‘s distaste for some aspects of Star Wars is no secret, and he recently had a hilarious reaction to the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special being brought up.

What did Harrison Ford say about the Star Wars Holiday Special?

During a recent video for Variety in which Ford tries to guess what some of his lines were, the Holiday Special was brought up. Ford’s reaction to the line was hilarious, and saw him curl up and begin rubbing his arms in mock disgust about bringing up the television event, saying he never even watched it.

Despite the joking response, Ford had nothing but praise for his time with the Star Wars franchise, saying it was “nothing but good” to him. He also said he was happy he got to play the infamous Han Solo, and enjoyed doing so every single time.

The Star Wars Holiday Special released in 1978 as a television special for CBS. The now-infamous special was set in the Star Wars universe and followed Chewbacca and Han Solo visiting the Wookie planet of Kashyyyk. The special also featured bits starring the main cast of Star Wars as well.

The special itself was extremely poorly received, and has never been rebroadcast nor officially released on home video on any format. The special has become a sort of legend amongst fans of Star Wars for its notoriously bad reception, with bootleg copies available across various parts of the internet.
