Dylan O’Brien Plays 2 Acclaimed Roles in Twinless Trailer
Roadside Attractions has shared the official Twinless trailer for its upcoming comedy-drama, starring Dylan O’Brien and James Sweeney as their characters form an unlikely friendship after meeting each other at a support group for individuals who lose their twin.
Following its world premiere earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, the movie is now scheduled to make its debut on September 5, 2025. Since its festival premiere, it has received positive reviews from critics, who were able to watch it at Sundance. The movie currently holds a Tomatometer rating of 96%, based on 53 reviews.

What is Twinless about?
“In the film, two young men meet in a twin bereavement support group and form an unlikely friendship. Roman and Dennis both search for solace and an identity without their other halves and soon become inseparable outside the group,” reads the official synopsis.
Twinless is written and directed by James Sweeney. The movie includes O’Brien as Roman/ Rocky, Sweeney as Dennis, Lauren Graham as Lisa, Aisling Franciosi as Marcie, Tasha Smith as Charlotte, Chris Perfetti as George, Kody Harvard as Eric, Katie Findlay as Lori, and more. The movie was executive produced by O’Brien, Liz Destro, David Gendron, Ali Jazayeri, Miky Lee, and Kevin M. Sullivan. It is also produced by David Permut and Sweeney, with Greg Cotten and Nik Boyanov serving as the director of photography and editor, respectively. The movie has a total runtime of 100 minutes or an hour and 40 minutes.
