Zootopia 2 Trailer Reveals Returning Cast for Disney Sequel

Disney has shared the official Zootopia 2 trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to 2016’s critically acclaimed animated buddy comedy, featuring the voices of Jason Bateman as Nick Wilde and Ginnifer Goodwin as Judy Hopps. The movie is currently slated to arrive in theaters on November 26.

“After cracking the biggest case in Zootopia’s history, rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find their partnership isn’t as solid as they thought when Chief Bogo orders them to join the Partners in Crisis counseling program. But it doesn’t take long for their partnership to be put to the ultimate test when they find themselves on the twisting trail of a mystery tied to the arrival of a venomous snake in the animal metropolis,” reads the official synopsis.

Who is returning in Zootopia 2?

In addition to the new trailer, the studio has also unveiled the full list of returning cast members, who will be joining franchise newcomers Ke Huy Quan as Gary De’Snake, Quinta Brunson as Dr. Fuzzby, and Fortune Feimster as Nibbles. Besides Bateman and Goodwin, the sequel will also feature the return of Shakira as Gazelle, Idris Elba as Chief Bogo, Bonnie Hunt as Bonnie Hopps, Don Lake as Stu Hopps, Nate Torrence as Clawhauser, Jenny Slate as Bellwether, Alan Tudyk as Duke Weaselton, Maurice LaMarche as Mr. Big, Leah Latham as Fru Fru, Josh Dallas as Frantic Pig, Tommy Chong as Yax, Mark Rhino Smith as Officer McHorn, and Raymond Persi as Flash.

Zootopia 2 is directed by Encanto filmmakers Jared Bush and Byron Howard, with Bush also writing the screenplay. It is produced by Yvett Merino. Since making its debut in 2016, the first installment has received a near-perfect Tomatometer rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 298 reviews. In addition to its critical success, the movie was a box office hit with a worldwide gross of over $1 billion.
