Predator: Killer of Killers’ New Ending With Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch Now Streaming
Director Dan Trachtenberg, who has helmed several projects in the Predator franchise, recently revealed that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch Schaefer is now part of the ending of the 2025 animated feature Predator: Killer of Killers. Dutch first appeared in the 1987 movie Predator and has since made sporadic appearances across various media in the franchise. Meanwhile, Trachtenberg’s first Predator project was 2022’s Prey. He has since directed Killer of Killers and the upcoming Predator: Badlands.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch returns in Predator: Killer of Killers’ new ending
Trachtenberg talked about an extended cut of Predator: Killer of Killers at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 25, which was slated to debut on Hulu that day. This new cut has an epilogue scene that features Schwarzenegger’s Dutch and Danny Glover’s Lieutenant Mike Harrigan (from Predator 2), along with Amber Midthunder’s Naru from Prey.
The filmmaker revealed during an appearance at the Hall H panel for 20th Century Studios / Disney’s Predator: Badlands that he spoke to Schwarzenegger over breakfast and got the actor’s blessing to use his likeness in the movie. He also reportedly revealed that the Terminator star gave him clearance to use Dutch in future entries in the franchise. (via Variety)
Predator: Killer of Killers is an anthology feature that revolves around a Scandinavian Viking warrior, a 17th-century rōnin, and an Allied World War II fighter pilot. They are plucked from their respective eras and taken to a desert planet by the Yautja to fight to the death. However, they ultimately rebel against their captors and try to escape. In the epilogue of the extended cut, Ursa, the Scandinavian warrior, has been captured by the Yautja and is placed in suspended animation alongside Naru, Dutch, and Harrigan. This effectively teases potential future appearances by these characters in the franchise.
Predator: Killer of Killers originally premiered on Hulu on June 6, 2025. Predator: Badlands debuts in U.S. theaters on November 7, 2025.
