Descendants 5 Gets Exciting Release Date Window From Disney
The release date window of Disney’s upcoming musical comedy, Descendants 5, has been announced, and fans won’t have to wait too long for it. The sequel to the 2024 movie Descendants: The Rise of Red, AKA Descendants 4, was announced in February 2025. The fifth part, Descendants 5, also known as Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, will premiere on the streaming platform Disney+ along with Disney Channel.

Disney recently announced that its popular musical comedy, Descendants 5, will come out in Summer 2026.
The update was shared in a recent report by Laughing Place. The studio recently held its Disney’s Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour. The event took place in San Diego, California, on July 17, 2025, where they made the announcement. The tour was a series of shows that included the cast members of the Descendants and ZOMBIES movies. They all came together and performed songs.
Moreover, the fifth part will pick up after the events of the fourth movie, Descendants: The Rise of Red. Disney Branded Television president Ayo Davis announced the return of Descendants in February. She said that the love and incredible response towards Descendants: The Rise of Red led to a fifth part. She noted that it also proved that “fans are invested in these characters.”
Thus, Davis asserted that Disney is trying to honor the legacy of the movies and “deliver even more of the magic, music, and heart that make Descendants so special.” She also stated that the Descendants franchise has received much appreciation from fans around the world.
The Descendants franchise is catered towards kids who fall in the age demographic of 6 to 11 and Tweens 9 to 14. Meanwhile, actresses Malia Baker and Kylie Cantrall are also returning in their roles of Princess Chloe and Red. While Princess Red is the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, Princess Chloe is the daughter of Cinderella.
