The Fantastic Four: First Steps has the biggest opening day in Paris

Based on a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), The Fantastic Four: First Steps has outperformed Deadpool & Wolverine by recording a bigger opening at the Paris box office.

The post by @BoxOfficefr reads, “#TheFantasticFourFirstSteps largely leading the #Paris2PM openings with 2,714 admissions in 22 theaters.”

Additionally, a post on Reddit stated, “Fantastic Four: First Steps had a better opening this morning in Paris than Deadpool & Wolverine at the same time last year!” This is even after the movie has received fewer screens than the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman film. Deadpool & Wolverine opened in a total of 25 screens and sold around 2,626 tickets in Paris at 2 PM.

However, the post also noted, “These are just early numbers. Things could still end up being a bit different by the end of the day. But still, these are pretty interesting numbers to look at…”

The Fantastic Four: First Steps has also recorded the highest ticket sales of this year till now, surpassing movies like Superman, Lilo & Stitch, and F1: The Movie. It also recorded the best ticket sales among the other Marvel movies that came out this year.

While Thunderbolts* sold 1,512 tickets in 18 screens during its opening in Paris, Captain America: Brave New World sold 1,372 tickets, but the number of screens is unknown.

According to Deadline, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is also tracking to make around $190 million to $210 million at the global box office in its opening weekend.
