What is seen in the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 trailer?
In Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, it’s been approximately one year since the tragic events of the first film. What happened at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza has inspired the town’s first-ever Fazfest. Mike (Josh Hutcherson) has withheld the truth from his sister Abby (Piper Rubio) about what happened at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Abby misses the animatronics and holds onto the false hope that her brother will fix them. One night, the animatronics reach out to Abby to find them. This time, the mascots have left the building and plan to terrorize the town’s residents outside the pizza shop.
Hutcherson and Rubio headline the returning ensemble that includes Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa Shelly, Theodus Crane as Jeremiah, and Matthew Lillard as William Afton. New characters will be played by Freddy Carter, Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, and Skeet Ulrich.
Emma Tammi returns to direct Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 from a screenplay written by Scott Cawthon. The movie is based on the survival video game franchise created by Cawthon.
Cawthon and Blumhouse founder Jason Blum will produce. Executive producers include Tammi, Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder, and Marc Mostman.
Five Nights at Freddy’s premiered day-and-date in theaters and on Peacock in October 2023. Despite the simultaneous release, the horror became a box office sensation, earning nearly $300 million worldwide on a $20 million budget.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 opens in theaters on December 5, 2025.
