
The Penguin’s Cristin Milioti Joins Exciting New Horror Movie From Too Many Cooks Creator
Ever since How I Met Your Mother ended in 2014, Cristin Milioti has had an eventful acting career. She lit up Broadway with That Face and Once, starred in two Black Mirror episodes, and led The Batman spin-off miniseries, Penguin, where she received an Emmy nomination. The actress’s exciting new project comes in the form of a horror movie by the creator of Too Many Cooks.
BoulderLight Pictures has been producing original movies that have received a lot of buzz. Companion showed audiences not to mess with an attractive robot. Friendship had a socially awkward man obsessively pursuing hanging out with his neighbor. And the upcoming horror film, Weapons, has a supernatural phenomenon leading to the disappearance of 17 students.
According to THR, an independent horror film by the banner will be starting production this week. Titled Buddy, the exciting new horror film will be starring Cristin Milioti and will be filming in Ohio.
What do we know about Buddy?
As of now, the plot of Buddy is under wraps. However, we do know the upcoming horror movie is described as a “new experience in horror.”
Casper Kelly will be directing the new project. He created shows for Adult Swim like Too Many Cooks, which is a short that parodies the opening credits of classic sitcoms before turning into a slasher story.
The American writer/director/producer is also the co-creator of Adult Swim’s live-action series, Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, about a demon who attempts to capture souls for a promotion in Hell. He also created the fake commercial, “Goblin Chedder,” that you see in the Nicolas Cage movie, Mandy.
