Guy Gardner Actor Names Two Items He Took From Superman Set
Nathan Fillion, who plays Guy Gardner / Green Lantern in the upcoming Superman movie, mentioned what he took home from its set. The film is slated to be the first cinematic entry in the fledgling DC Universe or DCU, a franchise headed by director James Gunn and his long-time producing partner Peter Safran.
Nathan Fillion recalls taking Guy Gardner’s Green Lantern ring and gold tooth from Superman set
Nathan Fillion discussed Guy Gardner and the Superman movie with guest host Anthony Anderson during his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The popular movie and TV actor revealed that Guy Gardner’s Green Lantern ring and gold tooth are the two props he took from the Superman set.
Fillion explained that he didn’t necessarily “steal” things he saw on the set despite wanting them. Instead, he tried to figure out how other people involved with the movie would feel if they were gone before taking them.
The Rookie star elaborated, “Steal is a strong word. But I’ll say, ‘Oh, this is really nice. Did you hear what happened to it? It got stolen a little layer on today.’ And then you just see how they reacted.”
Fillion added that if the response was favorable, the object in question would be gone. When Anderson asked what the “craziest thing” was that Fillion liked and that might have been stolen from a set he had worked on, the actor disclosed that he took home his character’s Green Lantern ring and gold tooth.
Earlier in the interview, Fillion shared details about why he didn’t take the now-infamous bowl-cut wig from the set. He said, “You know, you think it’s not a big deal, but by the end of the day, I couldn’t wait to get that thing [the wig] off my head. So, I didn’t really think to take that one.”
Superman had its world premiere at TCL Chinese Theater on July 7, 2025, and will get a wider release this Friday, July 11.
