
Superman’s Hall of Justice Gets New Details Ahead of DCU Movie
DC Studios CEO James Gunn has opened up about the DCU’s Hall of Justice, which will be featured in the highly anticipated Superman movie. The ensemble cast is led by David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The movie is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 11, 2025.
“In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind,” reads the synopsis.
What do we know about the Superman movie’s Hall of Justice?
During a recent interview with Brandon Davis, when asked about the Justice Gang, Gunn confirmed that the superhero team and its unfinished Hall of Justice are owned by tech billionaire Maxwell Lord, portrayed by Sean Gunn. The Justice Gang is consist of three superheroes in the form of Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern.
“You see the Hall of Justice and you see that it’s not even finished yet… and it’s owned by Maxwell Lord and he owns the Justice Gang,” James Gunn said.
Prior to Sean Gunn’s casting, the character was previously played by Pedro Pascal in Woman Woman 1984. In the comics, Maxwell Lord is known as a powerful businessman who was initially introduced as an ally to the Justice League, but later on turned into an antagonist.
Superman is written and directed by James Gunn, based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Additional cast members include Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teshmacher, Anthony Carrigan as Metarmorpho, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, and Neva Howell as Martha Kent, along with Alan Tudyk, Michael Rooker, and Grace Chan. It is executive produced by Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther.
