Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards Popcorn Bucket Shows Mr. Fantastic’s Stretchy Powers
A new popcorn bucket offers fans a closer look at The Fantastic Four: First Steps. As Marvel gears up for the highly anticipated reboot of its First Family, the collectible centered on Reed Richards has surfaced online. While official plot details remain limited, the design fuels further excitement for the film’s July release.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps gets a special Reed Richards popcorn bucket
Marvel Studios has unveiled a new popcorn bucket for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, featuring Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards. The collectible design showcases Mr. Fantastic’s signature stretch powers, with an extended arm curling around the bucket. It also highlights retro lettering, new suits for the team and a detailed look at their spacecraft, Excelsior.
Fans previously speculated that the ship seen in the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene belonged to the Fantastic Four. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige clarified the confusion in an interview with Empire.
“Their ship is the Excelsior, and there is a Fantastic Four ship entering the MCU… But I’m not sure they’re the same ship,” Feige said. The popcorn bucket’s visuals reinforce this distinction, especially through the ship’s boosters and landing gear.
The Reed Richards bucket will retail for $39.99 and is one of several promotional tie-ins planned for the film’s release. It follows the larger Galactus collectible and joins a lineup aimed at collectors and fans of the franchise. BossLogic and other artists have also shared fan-art inspired by the design.
Pedro Pascal spoke about his portrayal of Richards to Empire, saying, “He does the ultimate version of catastrophising. A brain that has an overview of threats on a mathematical level, but also being emotionally available.”
The film also stars Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer. Ralph Ineson plays Galactus, with additional roles for Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and John Malkovich.
Matt Shakman is the director of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which takes place in a retro-futuristic version of the 1960s. The film hits theaters on July 25, 2025, with projections estimating an opening of $125 to $155 million at the box office.
