M3GAN 2.0 Reveals Frightening Popcorn Bucket
While it’s still too early to assume who’s winning “the ultimate mean girl showdown” between “this b—-” and “that b—-,” M3GAN sure is winning the popcorn bucket game. Alamo Drafthouse is bringing a horrifying M3GAN 2.0 popcorn bucket, designed after the titular artificial intelligence.
The Alamo Drafthouse exclusive popcorn bucket, designed by Grace Svoboda, features M3GAN with her head serving as a popcorn storage. The replica of M3GAN’s head can be split open, cutting her face in half. However, moviegoers can only get hold of the limited-edition bucket once they pre-order tickets for M3GAN 2.0.
“Add this limited-edition bucket to your ticket order while supplies last and before it becomes sentient,” the theater chain’s statement reads. You can check out the popcorn bucket down below:
When is M3GAN 2.0 coming out?
The sequel to Universal Pictures’s 2022 box office hit sci-fi horror film is set to release in U.S. theaters on June 27, 2025. M3GAN 2.0 is directed by M3GAN filmmaker Gerard Johnston. The second movie features returning cast members Allison Williams as Gemma, Violet McGraw as Cady, Brian Jordan Alvarez as Cole, Jen Van Epps as Tess, and Amie Donald as M3GAN.
Jenna Davis also returned to lend her voice to M3GAN once again, with newcomer Ivanna Sakhno having joined the cast as M3GAN’s archnemesis, Amelia. Other newcomers include Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement.
Meanwhile, the Kate Dolan-directed M3GAN spin-off, SOULM8TE, is currently in development, set to hit theaters on January 9, 2026. It stars Lily Sullivan, Claudia Doumit, and David Rysdahl.
M3GAN 2.0 is set two years after the events of the first film, revolving around Williams’ Gemma, who went on to become an author and an advocate for the government’s regulation of AI. M3GAN’s technology, however, has been stolen, which led to the creation of Amelia — presumably a more evil version of M3GAN.
M3GAN 2.0 hits theaters on June 27.
