The Thursday Murder Club Teaser Trailer Previews Pierce Brosnan & Helen Mirren Netflix Movie

Netflix has finally shared the Thursday Murder Club teaser trailer for its upcoming murder mystery comedy. The movie will officially start streaming on Thursday, August 28, exclusively on Netflix.

“The Thursday Murder Club follows four irrepressible retirees – Elizabeth (Helen Mirren), Ron (Pierce Brosnan), Ibrahim (Ben Kingsley), and Joyce (Celia Imrie) – who spend their time solving cold case murders for fun. When an unexplained death occurs on their own doorstep, their casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn as they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands,” says the synopsis.

What happens in the Thursday Murder Club teaser trailer?

The video introduces Golden Globe nominee Pierce Brosnan as ex–union activist Ron and Oscar winner Helen Mirren as ex-spy Elizabeth, as their hobby of solving cold case murders together leads them to an actual one within the retirement home they reside in. In addition to Mirren and Brosnan, the ensemble cast will also include Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, Richard E. Grant, and Ingrid Oliver.

Based on Richard Osman’s 2020 international best-selling novel of the same name, The Thursday Murder Club is directed by Home Alone and Harry Potter filmmaker Chris Columbus from a screenplay written by Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote. It is executive produced by Jo Burn, Osman, Eleanor Columbus, Holly Bario, and Jeb Brod, with Columbus and Jennifer Todd producing. The film is a production between Amblin and Netflix.
