Sophia Di Martino’s Photo Sparks Sylvie’s Avengers: Doomsday Return Theories

A new theory suggests Sophia Di Martino may return as Sylvie in Avengers: Doomsday. The speculation follows a now-deleted cryptic Instagram post and sightings of her Loki stunt double near the film’s London set. Although Marvel has not confirmed her involvement, the clues have reignited fan theories about Sylvie joining the next multiversal battle.

Avengers: Doomsday fans think Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie has joined the cast

A now-deleted Instagram story from Loki star Sophia Di Martino has sparked widespread fan speculation about her return as Sylvie in Avengers: Doomsday. In the image, Di Martino can be seen wearing a black hat and hiding her surroundings. The picture was captioned, “Playgrounds.”

Fans preserved and shared the post on X (formerly Twitter), interpreting the image as a cryptic tease of her involvement in the upcoming ensemble film.

Fans added to the rumors after spotting Di Martino’s Loki stunt double in London, where Avengers: Doomsday is currently filming. Marvel has not confirmed Sylvie as part of the cast. However, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will return. Di Martino’s presence in London and her cryptic social media post have led fans to believe she might appear in the film.

Sylvie last appeared in the MCU during Loki Season 2. She played a key role in helping Loki become the God of Stories. That storyline could tie into Avengers: Doomsday, which is expected to explore multiversal themes and revisit The Void, first seen in Loki.

Filming for Avengers: Doomsday is also reportedly underway in Bahrain, a location that some speculate could double as The Void. Di Martino’s familiarity with that setting and her character’s experience navigating multiversal chaos further fuel theories of her return.

Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, features an expansive cast including Letitia Wright, Anthony Mackie, Chris Hemsworth, and multiple characters from the Fox X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises.

Marvel Studios plans to release the film on December 18, 2026.
