Fantastic Four: Reed & Sue’s Child, Franklin Richards, Revealed With Funko Pops

The first look of Reed Richards and Sue Storm’s baby, Franklin Richards, has been revealed with The Fantastic Four: First Steps Funko Pops. It was confirmed in the official trailer that Vanessa Kirby’s character, Sue, will be pregnant in the movie. This generated immense hype among the Marvel fandom regarding Franklin’s first-ever possible live-action appearance. Directed by Matt Shakman, The Fantastic Four: First Steps will arrive on July 25, 2025.

Franklin Richards gets first look with Fantastic Four Funko Pops

Recently, a Funko Pop news page, @dis.trackers, posted the first look at the figurines of The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

While fans can spot Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and The Thing’s Funko Pops, they also got a glimpse at Franklin Richards’ baby figurine. Franklin’s Funko Pop shows him in a white and blue onesie and as a toddler, thus suggesting that viewers might get to see him as a baby in the upcoming movie.

Additionally, Reed and Sue’s child, Franklin’s Funko Pop, will not come in a different pack, but will be paired with Sue. Apart from that, there are reportedly two Funko Pops of Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s character, The Thing — one in his costume and the other in formal clothes. There is also a figurine of Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer. Joseph Quinn’s Johnny figurine showcases his flame-on state, and Pedro Pascal’s Reed Funko Pop has his one arm stretched.

Sue’s pregnancy is one of the major aspects of the movie. While speaking to Entertainment Weekly about it in April, Kirby said, “Matt and I were really aware that there hasn’t really been a mother with a baby in these superhero archetypes women have been getting. I’ve always been really interested in the mess of femininity.”

She continued, “How can you be all the things? Not just the tough, invincible, powerful woman, but also a mother who gives birth, which is itself a superhero act. I love that these characters are real humans in a messy family who argue and try to work it out and get things wrong.”
