Fixed Netflix Release Date Set for Genndy Tartakovsky’s Star-Studded Movie
The Fixed Netflix release date has finally been announced for Genndy Tartakovsky’s long-delayed adult animated comedy movie.
This comes after Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema had suddenly exited from the project in August 2024, as part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s cost-cutting measures. Because of this, the movie’s distribution rights had reverted to Sony Pictures Animation before the Netflix deal.
When is the Fixed Netflix release date?
Fixed is scheduled to start streaming on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, exclusively on Netflix. The movie will feature the voices of Adam Devine as Bull, Idris Elba as Rocco, Kathryn Hahn as Honey, Bobby Moynihan as Lucky, Fred Armisen as Fetch, Beck Bennett as Sterling, Michelle Buteau as Molasses, and River Gallo as Frankie.
“An adult animated comedy about Bull, an average, all-around good dog who discovers he’s going to be neutered in the morning!,” reads the official synopsis. “As the gravity of this life-altering event sets in, Bull realizes he needs one last adventure with his pack of best friends as these are the last 24 hours with his balls! What could go wrong…?”
The R-rated film is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Vitti, based on a story by Tartakovsky, Vitti, Steve Greenberg, and Rich Lufrano. It is produced by Michelle Murdocca and Christian Roedel. This marks Tartakovsky’s first feature-length directorial project in three years since directing Hotel Transylvania: Transformia. The filmmaker is best known for creating Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars, and Primal, which earned him two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation and Outstanding Animated Program.
