
Godzilla x Kong Sequel Casts Jurassic Park’s Sam Neill to Monsterverse
Sam Neill, known for his role as Alan Grant in the Jurassic Park movies, is joining the Monsterverse in an unidentified role in the Godzilla x Kong sequel. The sequel to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire was announced by Warner Bros. Pictures in June 2024. The New Empire turned out to be a huge success for Legendary and WB Pictures, and made over $570 million at the global box office.
Next Godzilla x Kong movie adds Sam Neill to Monsterverse cast
The Peaky Blinders actor has been cast in the upcoming Godzilla x Kong sequel.
According to a report by Deadline, Sam Neill is all set to confront Titans in the next Monsterverse film after tackling dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park movies. However, Warner Bros. has not provided any information regarding the role that the actor will take on in the sequel. The Jurassic Park alum will be joining a massive cast. This includes Alycia Debnam-Carey, Dan Stevens, Delroy Lindo, Jack O’Connell, Kaitlyn Dever, and Matthew Modine.
Major details regarding the upcoming sequel’s plot are being kept under wraps by WB and Legendary. Albeit, the latter has conveyed that the sequel will focus on “several new human characters alongside the beloved and iconic Titans Godzilla and Kong as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat.”
Furthermore, the movie is being helmed by I Am Mother filmmaker Grant Sputore, and Dave Callaham is writing the script. In June 2024, Warner Bros. Pictures made some changes to its release schedule, putting the Godzilla x Kong sequel for a March 26, 2027, release.
According to Collider, Kaitlyn Dever hinted recently that she is shooting for the upcoming Godzilla x Kong film this month. She told the outlet, “I’m shooting another film up in Queensland right now. That’s what I’m doing up there.”
