Box Office Results: A Minecraft Movie Hits Huge Milestone During Second Week

A Minecraft Movie is continuing to rule the domestic box office.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Jared Hess’ A Minecraft Movie made another $80.6 million at the United States box office during its second week of release. In total, it’s now made around $550.6 million globally.

Per Deadline, that’s the 16th-best second weekend for any movie, ever. It’s also the second-best second weekend for a video game movie. It trails 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which made $92.3 million during its second.

The animated, faith-based King of Kings movie also had an impressive opening with $19.05 million, beating out other newcomers The Amateur ($15 million), Warfare ($8.3 million), and Drop ($7.5 million).
