Another Simple Favor Trailer: Blake Lively & Anna Kendrick Return in Sequel

Amazon MGM Studios has shared the full Another Simple Favor trailer for the forthcoming sequel to Paul Feig’s 2018 black comedy mystery A Simple Favor. The movie is scheduled to start streaming on May 1, exclusively on Prime Video.

“In the film, Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson reunite on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman,” reads the official synopsis. “Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.”

Who is in the Another Simple Favor trailer?

The video provides the audiences with a closer look at the sequel’s returning cast members, including Blake Lively as Emily Nelson, Anna Kendrick as Stephanie Smothers, Henry Golding as Sean Townsend, Andrew Rannells as Darren, and Bashir Salahuddin as Detective Summerville. Joining them are fresh new faces in the form of Elizabeth Perkins as Margaret, Michele Morrone as Dante, Alex Newell as Vicky, Elena Sofia Ricci as Portia, and Allison Janney as Aunt Linda.

Another Simple Favor is once again directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay written by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis, based on the characters created by Darcey Bell. The R-rated film is executive produced by Jennifer Booth, Sharzer, and Marco Valerio Pugini, with Feig and Laura Fischer serving as producers. It will have a total runtime of 120 minutes. Since having its world premiere at the recent SXSW Film & TV Festival, the sequel has already garnered a Tomatometer score of 81% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 31 reviews.
