House of the Dragon’s Emma D’Arcy Joins Tom Cruise in Alejandro G. Iñárritu Movie Cast

Emma D’Arcy, known for their performance in House of the Dragon, is all set to star alongside Top Gun: Maverick star Tom Cruise in director Alejandro G. Iñárritu‘s upcoming movie. The name of the project has still not been revealed by the director. However, the movie is expected to arrive in theaters worldwide next year on October 2.

According to a report by Deadline, Emma D’Arcy is joining the cast of renowned filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s upcoming movie.

The actor who has made a mark in the industry through their roles in House of the Dragon and Truth Seekers will work alongside Tom Cruise, who joined the untitled project in February 2024.

While talking about joining Iñárritu’s film, D’Arcy told the outlet, “I’m delighted to be working with such extraordinary and exacting artists as Alejandro and Tom. They are the masters of their craft, and witnessing them in combination has been a privilege.” The movie is being produced by Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment. Nicolas Giacobone and Alexander Dinelaris, who have worked with Iñárritu on the 2014 Oscar-nominated movie Birdman, and Sabina Bierman are working as screenwriters for the project.

The story of the film will reportedly follow the most powerful man in the world, who goes “on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s saviour before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything.”

Tom Cruise expressed his views on working with Alejandro G. Iñárritu while speaking with Deadline’s Baz Bamigboye. The Mission: Impossible star called the experience of working on the movie “the time of [his] life” and also praised the cast.

The star-studded cast of this untitled project includes Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Wilde, and Michael Stuhlbarg, as well as Tom Cruise and Emma D’Arcy.
